Director’s Note

It’s been just shy of a year since Hurricane Ian caused such devastation and destruction to Pine Island. While we were knocked down, we certainly were not knocked out, and the strength and resilience that I’ve seen in the past year has made me truly proud to call this community my home. At GPIA, we continue to move forward to help with rebuilding efforts and help develop even more resiliency resources for islanders.

There’s no doubt that Ian’s anniversary will be a sad and somber day for for us, especially those who have been hit the hardest. Please know that in times of need, this community will always rally and that we’re here to help.
